About this course
The STEM Education initiative is one of the most important current issues in educational reform. Integrating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics aims to prepare a generation that is literate in these fields and able to apply acquired knowledge and practices to face real-life and labor market challenges. Project Based Learning is a key pillar for delivering STEM education and applying it practically through learner-driven projects that simulate scientists’ practices and develop 21st‑century skills. This course introduces STEM education, its requirements and assessment, the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and how to design and implement STEM project-based learning in science education.
