About this course
This beginner-level course from the University of Michigan introduces the basics of SQL and relational database design using Python and SQLite. You learn CRUD operations, how to model and store data across multiple tables, and how to work with one-to-many and many-to-many relationships. The course also covers object-oriented Python concepts, web crawling and multi-step data gathering, and visualizing data using APIs and tools like D3.js and OpenStreetMap. It is part of the "Python for Everybody" Specialization and assumes familiarity with introductory Python (Chapters 1–13 of the textbook).
